Designers/Illustrators/Photographers that I Admire

[junya+watanabe.jpg]
Junya Watanabe. Spooky but gorgeous!
Lainey Keogh brings traditional Irish knit into the 21st century. This slinky sexy dress looks far removed from the traditional cottage industry.
Koji Tatsuno.
Gothic melodrama from Junya Watanabe.
Another baroque masterpiece from La Lacroix.
That gosssamer dress by Lainey Keogh that I admire so much.
Jean Paul Gaultier's controversial collection from 1993. It was all about 'Rabbi Chic'. It was inspired by the appearance of highly traditional Hasidic Jews. Though he called it a homage to the Jewish people many didn't take to it  lightly.
Rei Kawakubo's sumptious creations.

An image by the photographer Herb Ritts. He manages to make beautiful clothes by Versace breath-taking.

An example of Gaultier's Rabbi chic.
'Rabbi Chic"

Francois Berthoud
Jean-Phillipe Delhomme. Delhomme makes fashion illustration fun and light-hearted. There is a sense of humor there as well. As well, they're simply colorful and delectable.
Tony Viramontes. The cover design he created for Janet Jackson's 1986 album Control. It is really striking.
A shoking and bold photo from acclaimed photographer Nick Knight.
Yohji Yamamoto, Nick Knight
Anothe Nick Knight picture that exudes coolness and style.
Nick Knight does all he can in this picture to show off the grandeur of Phillip Treacy's majestic hat.
A sharp image from Francois Berthoud. He makes most of his picture using woodblock printing.
Rei Kawakubo simple but elegant creation.
A nod to Spain in this collection by Christian Lacroix. I love the billowing trousers.

Francois Berthoud.

An Issey Miyake creation. For him fashion is architecture.
Another seductive image by Herb Ritts from the same photo shoot that took place in the Navajo desert.
Jean Paul Gaultier's collection for Paris fashion week  in 2007 was inspired by the Virgin Mary. I love his daring and the beautiful results.
I love Christian Lacroix's roccoco creations which he takes from French culture and history.
